At 426m, views from the top of the Rock across the sea to the coast of Africa are truly spectacular. But the Rock itself is home to some remarkable vistas of its own. Closer to the town, the 19th-century Alameda Gardens are a feast for the senses, with exotic sub-tropical plant species and a magnificent botanical collection.
